Burda New Faces Award 2008 Fashion
Everyone who had the time during the busy days of CPD, the IGEDO Company's flagship fashion show in Düsseldorf, Germany, were invited to party with Burda and attend the BUNTE New Faces Award 2008 FASHION (announcement). This year, the red New Faces Trophy was awarded to fashion designer Philipp Plein.
Some may remember this name from a clever marketing coup earlier this year, introducing the Plein-brand to a wider audience with a segment feature in the opening episode of Germany's Next Topmodel Cycle 3. So it wasn't exactly a surprise to meet some known faces from this popular TV franchise again on the red carpet. Among the attendants were Lena Gercke, Hana Nitsche, Janina Delia Schmidt, Christina Leibold, Janina-Katharina Küpper, designer duo Johnny Talbot & Adrian Runhof, Marcel Ostertag, Stefan Eckert, Barbara Engel (formerly Herzsprung) and various starlets from the German fashion and TV scene.
This year, BUNTE and Hubert Burda Media celebrate 60 years of BUNTE magazine and issued the tenth New Faces Award, who has been split up into categories recently, to award new faces from the film (awarded in April this year in Berlin) and the fashion worlds. Each trophy means 10,000 EUROs for the winner in cash.
