The leggings trend has its first specialist: Costume Dept. from Los Angeles. Every time an upstart label manages to talk a celebrity into promoting a style (ex Black Eyed Peas Fergie wore CD’s “piano lesson“, via), it only takes minutes until blogs, shops and magazines have it on their radar. The lucky one this time- the designer duo Shaun Samson and Shawn Kaleka. Their mission: to give an “alternative to all the standard leggings on the market!”.
And what an alternative this is. Sparkling, shimmering, funky textured leggings. Ranging from $48 to $99 a pair, these eye-catchers can be called a celebrity bargain. Currently, the young label is on the streets, shopping their styles around. Thumbs up and good luck. We can’t wait to see the next thing from Costume Dept.!
